What it is
The Roll Camera! Awards are a now-biannual internet party where you submit films you've made after playing Roll Camera! The Filmmaking Board Game, vote on special awards, and potentially win stuff!
How it works
As you know, when you win a game of Roll Camera!, you will have created an actual story with the five scenes you shot. Your task now is to record and upload that film for awards consideration!
- Make a video taking us through the story of your finished film — it could be as simple as an entertaining reading of the cards, or as involved as a live-action recreation of your story including sound effects, music and credits. You decide!
- Upload your video to the platform of your choice, then post the link on the Awards channel in the Keen Bean Studio Discord on the date and at the time mentioned above.
- Vote on your favorite videos. Each video will be eligible for many awards, from Best Picture to Best Actor to Best Punch Sound Effect. Nominate the films for awards using Discord reaction emoji 👏👏👏
- Most videos will win! At the end of the awards, the videos with the most votes in each category will win (limit one per entry - if a film has already won an award, the next-highest in the category wins instead). If that's you, send us your mailing address and the shiny unique award card will be yours!* If not, don't worry...there's always next time!
*Rules and stuff
- DON'T USE COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL. For this entries to this contest, you DO have the right to use imagery from Roll Camera itself, but any other images, songs, sound effects, etc to which you do not own the rights will disqualify your submission.. There are lots of great sites offering royalty-free sound and music if you like, but come on, you're a filmmaker! Get creative!
- You can't submit the same video in multiple awards. You can only submit one video per awards session.
- You don't need a physical copy of Roll Camera! to participate - you can use the freely available ones on Tabletop Simulator or Tabletopia.
- You must have a valid mailing address in an eligible country (see the full rules and conditions below) to receive the Award card.
